F.A.Q "Photo and Video Terms"

A lot have been asking what is an SDE? or Video Highlights? well here we will be discussing most of the terms related to Photography and Videography Services most of the terms or shortcuts will be explained here. 

1. Q: How do I book your services? Email [email protected] with your name, company (if corporate), event date, venue, type of event, and contact (email or Viber). We’ll send your quotation promptly.
2. Q: Do you have business documentation? Yes. We are fully registered and compliant with DTI, BIR, and other necessary permits.  and we issue official receipts and sales invoices.
   
3. Q: What is SDE or Same-Day-Edit  The Video taken from the the Event rom preparation to parts of the reception program will be edited and will be shown on the very same day of the event usually before the closing speech
4. Q: SDE Photo (Same Day Edit Photo) Same as the above, but this will photos (still shots) coming from the photographer
5. Q: Event Video Highlights / MTV (Music Video Highlights) The video captured during the event will be professionally edited after the event. It is generally delivered within 10 working days or less, depending on the agreement with the photo and video team or studio owner.
6. Q: What is an AVP (Audio Visual Presentation)? An AVP is a short video presentation made before your event. It combines photos, video clips, text, and music — usually to introduce your program, highlight milestones, or tell your story. The client provides the materials in advance. For a 4-minute AVP, we recommend about 80 photos, or a mix of photos and video clips.
7. Q: Will the editor’s laptop be used during the event for AVP or SDE? No. The editor’s laptop is not used during the event. All AVP and SDE production is done off-site or after the event, ensuring smooth coverage without interfering with the program.
8. Q: Call Time – The scheduled time when the photo and video team arrives at your event venue to begin coverage. It’s important for coordinating with the event program so that all key moments are captured on time.
9. Q: Ingress and Egress – These terms refer to entering and exiting the event venue.Ingress – The planned time and process for guests, staff, or equipment to enter the venue. Egress – The planned time and process for guests, staff, or equipment to leave the venue.
10. Q: Are there any hidden costs? No! hidden costs. Everything is included in the quotation we provide. If you happen to provide food, well and good  we won’t say no to a snack, but don’t expect it to reduce the price. Our cameras still work just as well on an empty stomach :)
    
11. Q: Cinematic - Terms used for that cinematic video/movie look, these is combined with the use of equipment, skills, creativity, camera angles, lenses, depth of field and that dramatic music to make that cinematic look.
12. Q: STD (Save the Date) - These are prenup or predebut videos done before the event generally serves as an invitation to the guest. 
    • Teaser (save-the-date)  A one minute trailer or serves as a teaser or invitation to the guest 
    • Save-the-date Full - The full product of the shoot prior the event is shown at the reception. usually shown before the  at the of the program / part of the program or at dinner time or breaks 
13. Q: Raw Files - No Edit! purely shots coming directly from the camera. If one would bring this to a higher level of technicality "raw files" a real large format files it has a different file extension, uncompressed and cannot be access by a computer without the necessary software, these files range from 11mb and above, use for billboard advertising. Nowadays on events, only the maximum compressed file format is selected, its enough to bring the quality, sharpness and excellence to the end users. 
14. Q: Pre Debut or Pre Nup - Photo and Video shoot before the day of the celebration 
15. Q: Post nup - Photo and Video Shoot after the Ceremony, Photographer and Videographers would take shots of the couple  after the ceremony 
16. Q: Pre Gown - Shots made before the Bride wears her gown 
17. Q: Beauty Shot / Pogi Shots - Solo shots of the Bride wearing gown, solo shots of Groom wearing his formal attire. ​
